From Quinpool to Venice and back

This Saturday's post is a journey. Hope you brought your passport.
----------

The show 24 rocks. I started watching it at the start of Season 3, when one of my roommates at the time agreed to explain it. 24 is a tough show to get into in the middle. If you've never seen it and are curious, go to your local video store, like Video Difference on Quinpool, and rent Season 1. I've got it if you want to borrow it.

A few years ago we used to have a party at the house (Bergman's house) every Monday night. With everyone moving in their own direction, that changed to watching it at the Monette's house (once I got them hooked). I'm really looking forward to mid-January when Season 6 starts. Here's the preview.

Any other 24 fans out there?

Sasha and I were watching the new Bond movie, Casino Royale, last night. I enjoyed the movie with its many twists and turns.

There was an unexpected surprise near the end with some great scene shots of Venice. I love Venice. What a beautiful city on a sunny day.

I have never been able to get into 24. If it is realtime, what do they do when the commercials are on (16 minutes of the hour)? Is that when they eat and use the facilities? Going for 24 hours straight without either would be rather difficult, don't you think!

I think it will premier on Sunday, January 14 for 2 hours then 2 hours the next night to make sure everyone's hooked!

I have to say Bond was too violent for me- I hate torture scenes and stuff like that really bothers me, but besides the violence it was captivating for sure. Ask me about my time in venice when I see you next to hear an interesting story. Say hi to Sasha for us. Happy holiday, Bryan!

Oh and btw, Ian- I totally have the same questions- do they just conveniently use the washrooms during commmercial breaks? I know!

ps- I can't bash 24 because we used to watch it with Matt and Christine all the time until I couldn't handle all the violence in ti and then we got hooked onto something else- and I know the 3 of them still love it:)
